Voxboned!

Our inbound VOIP provider had an outage this morning, so for a couple of hours calls to Foneshow numbers were going unconnected. It's the one crucial part of our infrastructure that we can't make redundant - we could swap out DIDs and send updated SMSes if they went away permanently, but there's no way to fail-over those numbers so they get answered if Voxbone is down. The power of VOIP to backhaul international incoming calls is transformative - but we trade the stability of the PSTN for the best-efforts standards of Internet application hosting.

But Voxbone has generally been stable, and it was gratifying and reassuring to call them in Brussels and have a polite and well-informed human being pick up the phone!
